New teachers at Country Cloth!
Sally Brown moved to Calaveras County about a year ago from Sisters, Oregon. She lived in Sisters for about 8 years & owned a long arm quilting business. She & her husband are retired & now live in Valley Springs .She has been quilting for over 20 years & made her first quilt when she was 9 years old. She is excited to be sharing her quilting knowledge with her students.
She will be teaching a monthly Stash Bashers Club on the 1st Saturday of each month, a beautiful tablerunner decoration that can be made for any holiday on September 10 & again on the 29th, and on September 16 & 30 (Tuesdays), she will teach Sally's Twisted Log Cabin Quilt. Samples of her class projects are on display in the shop or go to the CALENDAR page & click on the date of the project you are interested in. You will see details of the class & a picture of the completed project.
Also teaching in September, October & November will be Victoria Johnson from Stockton. Victoria will be certified to teach the Judy Niemeyer paper piecing technique. Victoria has been sewing since she was a young girl, from garments to upholstery to backpacking tents to quilts. On September 27 & October 4 she will be teaching a holiday tree skirt & then on October 25 & November 8 the class will make a double wedding ring bed runner. Check our CALENDAR page for pictures of her projects & details on her classes. We are excited to introduce Victoria & hope to feature many more of her classes in the future!
